Both variants are fitted as cartridge seals. The shaft seal separates the motor from the pumped liquid.\u003cbr\u003ePumps of 2.0 hp (1.5 kW) have a silicon carbide\/silicon carbide (SiC\/SiC) mechanical shaft seal as primary seal and a lip seal as secondary seal.
